Description of Even the Rocks Worship

Some places just shout that God has been there. If for nothing else but to remind us of His presence, his power and his creation. This solitary crop of rocks seems to depict a monument to that fact. That God has been here. That He exists. That He was the One who made it all and gave us all the beauty that surrounds us. This wasn’t exactly the way I wanted this painting to come out. I had some different tones and values in mind, but it took on a life of its own and I fell in love with this version. Wherever we are, God is somewhere near. maybe you don’t see Him or feel Him but He is with you and is beside you willing to walk with you through life, to bring joy, peace, power and life in all its glory. Open your eyes. He is there. Maybe life hasn’t turned out the way you wanted it. Maybe “life” or someone in it has let you down and you lost your hope and your inspiration. Hold on to God’s hands, not your images or traditions, or your expectations. Thay will often let you down. I know that I have let down some close to me and this Rock, this monument to the presence of God testifies that we all need to worship the One who made it all and let go of our disappointments, resentments, unrealized expectations and broken hearts and reach out for God alone and let Him reconcile us to Himself.
